Hacienda Siesta Alegre Wedding – Ashley + Sean

So happy to share my photographs from this beautiful Hacienda Siesta Alegre Wedding in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. I was invited by Evan R Photography as a second photographer to this amazing wedding venue in the mountains of Puerto Rico in December of 2018. Evan is an amazing wedding photographer who moderates several wedding photographer groups online, and although he is based in Miami, works in Puerto Rico often. Evan is an overall great guy and stellar wedding photographer, so it was an honor to be trusted with the responsibility of working alongside him as a second photographer for this beautiful wedding.

Hacienda Siesta Alegre is a working farm with 120 acres of property and a 150 stable horse ranch overlooking the El Yunque rainforest.

If you’ve never been to the mountainous regions of Puerto Rico, you are missing out. Hacienda Siesta Alegre is situated approximately 30-40 minutes from the San Juan Metro area, in the mountains of Rio Grande. Hacienda Siesta Alegre is a working farm with 120 acres of property and a 150 stable horse ranch overlooking the El Yunque rainforest. With various historic and remodeled buildings built up with amazing work and masonry work, the property has such an authentic and well cared for feel.

On top of that, one of my most favorite features of Hacienda Siesta Alegre comes after dark, when a truly impressive spread of decorative twinkle lights illuminates the reception space and outdoor areas. We absolutely love twinkle lights to create background, depth, and beautiful blurry bokeh designs in the background, and they’ve done a stellar job lighting the outdoor wedding receptions spaces at Hacienda Siesta Alegre.

I had an absolute blast at this wedding, starting early in the day with Sean and his family/friends, into the night when the pleneros arrived in their funky masks and traditional wedding songs. Thank you Ashley and Sean for sharing this beautiful day!
