Jennifer & Brad at La Concha San Juan
We are so thrilled that Jennifer and Brad found us and decided on us as their wedding photographers. They opted for Full Coverage – unlimited wedding day coverage, which meant we were able to spend time with them in the early day as well as late, getting to know them, their guests, and their family along the way. Their wedding day was a super fun, laid back, and very elegant event. La Concha Resort is located in the Condado area of San Juan, and is considered by most to be one of the most beautifully designed and decorated hotels on the island. Jennifer and Brad certainly value photography, and were very appreciative and accommodating with us from the moment we arrived. Plus, La Concha San Juan is so pleasant to
Jennifer and Brad have a young son, Braden, who was with them throughout the day. We took time and looked for the nice moments shared between the family, and by the end of the day had some really heartwarming and intimate photographs of Brad, Jennifer and Braden.
We had the pleasure of meeting Brenda Garcia, of Brenda Garcia Events, who was providing wedding coordination and we had a great time working alongside her. We had been in communication before the wedding, exchanging emails regarding their timeline, and had the chance to meet during their reception dinner on Friday. It’s always great when things seem to move along smoothly and on time, and at Jennifer and Brad’s wedding it felt like we sailed through the day. Brides by Tatiana did a really spectacular job with hair and makeup.
Their ceremony was held outside near the adult pool, on a private raised deck facing out to the ocean with the beach below. We had a perfect amount of cloud cover during their ceremony to create very even lighting from certain angles, which resulted in some very sharp and stunning photos. After the ceremony we took care of the formal family wedding photographs and headed up to the rooftop for a short portrait session. We made use of our recently purchased LED wand, and Frances took the time to do a simple Brenizer stitched photo, which turned out beautifully. We submitted the Brenizer panorama to Huffington Post Real Weddings of the Week, which was in turn chosen for the feature and published! Check it out here.
La Concha San Juan is right on the beach, so to finish out the night we all went down onto the sand just after midnight, to have some fun and take a sparkler send off photo. After explaining to everyone the three important things for them to know during the photo – Look at the bride and groom, keep your sparklers up high, and group up behind the couple as they pass by, we fired up their extra large sparklers and took some really exciting photos. Afterwards Jennifer and Frances had an impromptu trash the dress (it was a second dress – she had changed into a more comfortable second dress earlier in the night) shoot at night on the beach. We had a blast, and Jennifer did too. As we walked back to the beach we saw a surprised and happy look on Brenda Garcia (their wedding coordinators) face. My guess is not too many wedding photographers she works with at La Concha San Juan are jumping into the ocean past midnight on wedding night very often!
