Their playful photoshoot led to Greg assisting Frances and eventually led to their romance. Frances taught Greg a few basics about how to operate a camera and then thrust him straight into photographing weddings alongside her. It was trial by fire with Greg learning many techniques while on the job. Greg quickly picked up the craft, educating himself through countless YouTube videos and industry research. Together, they experienced a burst of creativity, learning, and growth as photographers. Frances credits Greg with reigniting her passion for wedding photography, and together, they’ve continually pushed their artistic limits.

Greg may have unintentionally fallen into a career as a wedding photographer, but the gratification that comes from creating photographs for families is what keeps him here. “I love creating photographs that become iconic and meaningful for families. We do something rare and powerful”, Greg Hastain.

Above all else Greg values client experience. He doesn’t believe in posing or interrupting. Greg will never ask someone to straighten their tie or hat for a photo. If it’s going to happen he will capture it. If it doesn’t happen, no one should be forcing it to happen- that would be weird.

Greg loves working with his hands. He worked as a tattoo artist for many years, loves woodwork, and enjoys hunting Elk. Greg found photography through oil painting and now photography is what’s leading him back to the brush. Greg’s creativity manifests in the form of hand-painted canvases and embellished wedding albums.
